I am such a terrible blogger. It is facebook's fault. I spend way too much time on there. If you want more of me, that is where I am! If you don't already have a profile there, it's easy! Sign up and add me as your friend. You can never have too many friends!
School break has begun early here in Issaquah. We have been off since Wednesday due to snow. We only have a few snow days a year here, and it usually melts the day after it falls, so this is not something this city is used to. The whole area pretty much shuts down. Luckily, I am totally done with all my Christmas shopping. Everything is even wrapped! I must be demented, but I love watching the crazies on the local news that ventured out. They slip slide all over the road and basically play bumper cars. Just stay home people! Rich has had to work from home too. We live on a mountain with only very steep roads leading up to our neighborhood. I don't mind being stuck at home in this weather though. Until we start to run out of milk!
One sad thing about all the cancellations is that Evan's very first preschool performance had to be canceled. He has been going around singing songs that he has been practicing for the show and Rich and I were really looking forward to having a good laugh at the expense of the little tyke's.
I do wish this storm could have waited to after Christmas when the kids had new toys and games to keep them occupied. They are a bit antsy anticipating Santa's arrival and are having more squabbles and emotional breakdowns than usual. I have found myself hiding in my bedroom more than once! They always seem to find me though.
Okay, okay, on to the photos. Now, I didn't take many because I didn't venture from my doorway. Hey, I'm a Floridian, remember? And I also don't have any of Emma to share. That is because she has moved in with the next door neighbor, her BFF. Not really, but I didn't see much of her yesterday, and she is still there! I miss her, but it does help conserve our precious milk supply when she is gone!
Note to self: Buy the kids a freakin' sled already! Boogie boards and surf boards don't really work all that well. (But she tried anyway)
Melanie got so bored, she asked to wake Evan up. She even walked him to the Elementary playground and tuckered him out!
Of course the first thing the boy did was lay down in it!
Everyone is still sleeping here, the sky is blue and the ground is white. It's very cold (17 degrees) and very silent. I am going to get some Vanilla Hot Cocoa and find my electric throw and enjoy it.
